Dual Degrees

The Bachelor of Science in Physics/Master of Science in Engineering (BS/MS) program allows a student to complete both a BS in physics and an MS in Engineering in only five years. This is an attractive option for those who want to combine a strong theoretical background with experience in engineering applications.  Any subfield of engineering is eligible; see sample curricula for mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.

The Bachelor of Arts in Physics/Master of Business Administration (BS/MBA) option combines courses provided by the Department of Physics and by the Daniels College of Business. There are numerous rewarding opportunities for those with this preparation, particularly for those who seek to hold a variety of technical management positions.

The Bachelor of Arts or Science in Physics/Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction (BS/MA) and Teaching License option combines courses provided by the Department of Physics and Astronomy and by the DU College of Education for those seeking a career in K-6 to K-12 education.
