Mission:
DU Off-Road is a common interest organization for anyone with an interest
in Off Highway Vehicle recreation. Our trips range from mild to wild and recreational
to educational to philanthropic. Members need not even have a SUV to participate
in club outings and activities. The purpose of the organization is to bring
DU students, alums, and community members together so they can learn together,
go on outings together, and work towards a better four-wheeling community.
People who have never been off-road before need not worry, as we aim to educate
them as to how their vehicle works, how to use it, enjoy it, and drive home
in one piece. New members are encouraged to come on as many of the easier
runs as possible for this opportunity. We also focus on safety, vehicle maintenance,
outdoors education, trail cleanup and maintenance. For the more hardcore off-roader
we do plan outings that suit their needs. Overall, DU Off-Road is for everyone
and anyone who enjoys the outdoors, in a vehicle.
