The Society for Human Resource Management
The University of Denver (DU) student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) strives to promote the exchange of work-related experiences of business professionals with the academic perspectives of students and faculty members.
We accomplish this through open forums, guest speakers, and involvement in industry conferences. We encourage the acquisition, growth and continuation of our careers in human resource management through camaraderie, respect, and mutual support among chapter members.
SHRM is the largest human resource management association in the world. It provides education and information services, conferences, seminars, government and media representation, online services and publications to more than 175,000 professional and student members throughout the world.
The DU student chapter of SHRM provides students the opportunity to affiliate with the national SHRM organization.
Student members keep up to date with new developments in the field of HR management and will have learning opportunities through interaction with HR practitioners. Many of our members are working full-time in the field and are valuable resources for class projects, career advisement, and future employment contacts.
Through your membership with the DU student chapter of SHRM, you will be given opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills and form relationships with future business contacts. |
