The University of Denver club cycling team placed 13th in Division II in the USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships. The competition was held May 11–13 in Lawrence, Kansas.
On May 11, the men’s team took third place out of 19 teams in the time trial. Steve Forbes, Taylor Shelden, Eric Moore and Grant Goerzen represented DU in the men’s team trial.
The DU club cycling team concluded its Spring regular season by finishing third in the Rocky Mountain Cycling Conference last weekend in Grand Junction, Colo. The Pioneers finished behind only Colorado College and Mesa State College.
Leading the way for the DU team was the men's A time trial team, who won their respective conference championship, edging Colorado State University by eight seconds in the 11 mile race. Taking part on that team were DU students Taylor Sheldon, Steve Forbes, Eric Moore and Grant Goerzen.
