Delta Gamma has focused on helping others since their inception in 1873. Sight disability has affected many children and the Fraternity felt it was an important cause that needed more attention. Our philanthropy at the national level is Service for Sight. In Denver, the Anchor Center for the Blind is Beta Chi's main philanthropy. The Anchor Center helps children who have sight disabilities cope with their afflictions and live full and productive lives. Beta Chi is a contributor to the Anchor Center by volunteering time and making financial donations. We hold Anchor Splash ™ annually to help raise money for the Anchor Center and the fraternity's national foundation. This event is a skating competition that consists of student organizations, both Greek and non Greek, that help the Beta Chi chapter to raise money.
