Holocaust Survivor’s Memorial: A New Beginning

The Survivors’ Memorial is co-sponsored by the children and grandchildren of the survivors of the Shoah and the Holocaust Awareness Institute at the University of Denver's Center for Judaic Studies.  As is the tradition for this annual program, this year’s memorial will continue to feature Holocaust survivors, as well as second, and third-generation survivors.  While a memorial to those whose lives were brutally taken, we will also celebrate the generations that are here today and using the lessons of the Holocaust to make a positive difference in the world.
This year’s memorial service will feature remarks by; Holocaust Survivor Ly Japha, second-generation survivor Steve Duman, third-generation survivor Avi Mehler, Cantor Joel Lichtermann, and Dr. Sarah Pessin.  Rabbi Yaakov Meyer of Aish Ahavas Yisroel will be the keynote speaker.

The 28th Annual Governor's Holocaust Remembrance Program will feature keynote speakers Kristine Keren and Dan Paisner, co-authors of the intimate and harrowing and ultimate triumphant memoir, "The Girl in the Green Sweater: A Life in Holocaust's Shadow."
