The Russian Student Union is the extracurricular organization that centers the DU student body's Russian experience. The RSU is the campus-based student organization, licensed by DU's All-Undergraduate Student Association, that provides for an authentic Russian experience outside of class for students of Russian at DU, Russian émigré or exchange students, and interested members of Denver's Russian émigré community at large. Dobro Slovo is the RSU's sister organization and a founding chapter of the National Slavic Honor Society. Dobro Slovo holds an initiation every spring in conjunction with the RSU's year-end party.

For events throughout the year, whether the student is a student of Russian itself, or a member of the Russian-speaking community here in Denver, or simply interested in Russia, the RSU provides for activities and outings which are exciting, cheap and fun.Melanie Harmon is this year's RSU President.
