Conference Registration
Attendance at the Conference is by invitation only.
Registration forms are available from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at DU. Deadline is April 30, 2008. Conference registration for attendees and guests includes a fun-filled "Western Night" at the 4 Eagle Ranch. There will be line-dance instruction and other fun activities. Our group photo will be taken at that time. This will be fun for the whole family.
Hotel Registration
To register at the Pines Lodge call 877-820-7669 and refer to the DU 28th Biennial Conference on Research Administration.
Room Reservations
Please contact The Pines Lodge by April 16, 2008 to reserve rooms at 877-820-7669 and refer to the “University of Denver 28th Biennial Conference on Research Administration” group. Rates for Lodge rooms will be $219, Deluxe Lodge rooms $245. A limited number of condominiums will also be available.
Directions to the Pines Lodge- Reaching the Pines Lodge is easy. There are four major airports providing service to Beaver Creek.
- Denver International Airport: (DEN) Year round, 2.5 hours, 140 miles to the east.
- Eagle County: (EGE) 30 minutes to the west. Summer - United from Denver
- Colorado Springs Airport: (COS) Year round, 3.5 hours, 210 miles southeast.
- Grand Junction Airport: (GJT) Year round, 2.5 hours, 140 miles to the west
- Shuttle service maybe arranged by calling the Pines Lodge reservation line.
To drive from DIA to The Pines Lodge: Take Pena Boulevard from DIA to Interstate 70 (I-70) west. Proceed for approximately 120 miles (estimated time: 2 hours 15 minutes) to the Avon exit, 167. Enter the roundabout and continue left. You will be heading south, and should go back under I-70. Continue straight on this road through 4 more roundabouts, after which you will see the entrance to Beaver Creek. Immediately before the welcome gate to Beaver Creek, on the right you will see a brown building. This is the Reception Center. The Front Desk is open 24 hours a day.
From the Eagle County Airport (Vail/Beaver Creek Jet Center): Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6. Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east. Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east. Proceed on I-70 for approximately 20-25 minutes, to the Avon exit, 167. At the bottom of the exit, take a right around the roundabout. You will be heading south. Proceed straight through 3 more roundabouts, after which you will see the entrance to Beaver Creek. Immediately before the welcome gate to Beaver Creek, on the right you will see a brown building. This is the Reception Center. The Front Desk is open 24 hours a day.
Transportation
Shuttle service is available from Denver International Airport to The Pines Lodge. Reservations and payment for this service may be arranged through The Pines reservation line. Valet Parking and a Commuter Day Lot are available for overnight parking at no additional charge.
Parking
Parking at the Pines Lodge is available by valet. You may also park at the East or West Day Lot, located outside the Beaver Creek security gate. The security gate guard will grant you an overnight pass upon request. After checking into The Pines Lodge, the front desk will provide you with directions to the Day Lot and the shuttle will bring you back to the Lodge.
