DU Peace Corps Community
Events
The University of Denver Peace Corps community creates or participates in several events each quarter. From hosting speakers to community service to fundraising, we continue to be active on and off campus.
We are committed to being a meeting place for returned Peace Corps volunteers (RPCVs) to connect with others at DU and within the greater Denver area. In addition, the DUPCC strives to continue with Third Goal work and creates opportunities for RPCVs to share their experiences with others.
The signature events of the community are:
- the Annual Peace Corps photo auction
- Peace Corps Week panel
- service events around Denver

Peace Corps Director Aaron Williams visits DU
In 2012, former Peace Corps Director Aaron Williams came to the University of Denver to meet with RPCVs and Master's International students.
He met with the DUPCC and Christopher Hill, dean of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies (and an RPCV from Cameroon) for a Q&A, and a lunch.
Later, an evening event for the entire RPCV community in Colorado brought in people from across the Denver area.
Volunteers who served in areas as diverse as Iran, Pakistan, and Kiribati—and who work as DU professors, staff, students or simply live in Colorado—mingled at a reception hosted by DU's Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management.
