He is also the author of a large number of essays, monographs, and lectures 
dealing with such topics as German Idealism, phenomenology (Husserl, Levinas, Heidegger), ethical theory, aesthetics, ecophilosophy, and postmodernism. His principal current research and writing project is "A 'Non-Hegelian' History of German Idealism."
