The paneling is Jacobean, dates to the reign of James I, and was constructed in England around 1615. Ther room was exported to the United States and placed in "Belcaro" in 1933. The ceiling, which was constructed on site in 1933, represents the War of the Roses. Much of the furniture remains today with its original upholstery. The original billiards table is today in another Phipps residence and the current table is covered and used to stage buffets and a place for wedding gifts.
