Lawrence C. Phipps Memorial Conference Center

Phipps Mansion

The Center is comprised of the Phipps Mansion, the Phipps Tennis Pavilion, and Phipps Catering Services and is situated on 5 1/2 acres of landscaped grounds in a residential location in southeast Denver. The Center was built by Senator and Mrs. Lawrence C. Phipps and is today utilized for Wedding Receptions, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Corporate and Service Organization Events, and University of Denver functions.

The Heads of State from England, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Canada, Japan, The United States, and The European Union at a State Dinner at the Phipps Mansion in 1997. Completed in 1932, the Tennis Pavilion is purported to be the very first indoor tennis facility built west of the Mississippi River.
