Phipps Tennis Pavilion
Completed in 1932, the Tennis Pavilion is purported to be the very first indoor tennis facility built west of the Mississippi River. The Tutor and Mediterranean style facility features a glass roof over the 8,000 square foot court area, a formal living room, a gallery area, and comfortable sitting room areas. Adjacent to the southern facade is the popular outdoor courtyard area. In the early 1960's the former tennis court was converted to a carpeted area so that it could be utilized for social events.
A new feature is permanent tent anchors in the courtyard. Thanks to the efforts of Butler Rents, tents 40' wide and up to 70' long can be temporarily installed for your event. Tents from other rental companies can be used that meet max/min specifications. Call for details.
