Symposium: A Conference of Undergraduate Research

At the annual Symposium, we recognize and honor undergraduate research. All PinS and Travel Fund recipients are required to attend and share their work with the university community. Each year, about 100 students present their research or creative project through a demonstration, exhibition or live performance. Symposium celebrates the University as a place where students and faculty become partners and share the satisfaction of academic excellence.

Symposium: A Journal of Undergraduate Scholarship

Each year, every academic department is invited to promote excellence by nominating a single undergraduate-written paper for publication in the Symposium journal. These student authors distinguished themselves by pursuing a high level of intellectual inquiry either independently or in partnership with faculty.

Symposium Volume 2 includes work completed by University of Denver undergraduates from all niversity divisions during the 2005-2006 academic year. Cover art was provided by the Department of Art and Art History. Symposium is published with a generous grant from the University of Denver’s Marsico Initiative.

Free copies are available while supplies last in the book store, library or at the PinS office, Driscoll South, Room 6.

If you would like to be considered for publication, please submit your paper to the appropriate department chair by the end of the academic year.
