FRAME is a research project currently being conducted at the University of Denver. The aim of the project is to help couples who face economic hardship learn skills and principles for healthy relationships while also promoting investment in and satisfaction with parenthood. The project began in April 2007, when we implemented a community-level, random assignment, longitudinal investigation of a relationship education program designed specifically to meet the needs of individuals with financial hardship.

The program is a 16 hour workshop adapted from Within Our Reach a program from PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program; Markman, Stanley & Blumberg, 2001).

FRAME promotes positive couple relationships and enhanced parenting by teaching couples techniques for communicating clearly and coping with financial stress.

We are currently looking for couples and children (see Couples page) to participate in our project as well as corporations and organizations that would be interested in helping us by getting the word out to people in their business, organization or community.
