Wave 4 Data Collection Information

When will we contact you?
We began Wave 4 data collection on the first 70 families of the Family Relationships Study in February, 2004 and completed it in July, 2004. The data collection for the second 70 families began in February of 2005 and is almost complete.

What will your participation entail?
For this wave of the study, we are asking you to complete questionnaires only (we will not ask to video- or audio-tape you). We are excited to offer you the opportunity of completing the questionnaires online. You will have the option of completing all the questionnaires at one time or over multiple sessions. This method is SECURE and CONFIDENTIAL. We use the same technology that is used when you purchase products over the internet with a credit card. Once you submit a questionnaire, your responses cannot be accessed again.

If you do not have access to the internet or prefer to complete the questionnaires with paper and pencil, we will be happy to send you the packet in the mail for you to complete at home or you may schedule a time for your family to come to the lab.

What will you receive?
After completing your questionnaires, we will send you a check for $100 thanking you for your participation (each family member who completes his or her questionnaires will receive $100).
