Information about your first interview

Nagel Hall is located at 2194 S. High St. There is Psychology Participant parking close to the building. Once you arrive, lab staff will meet you at the parking area and will walk with you to the GEM research area. Click here for map to Nagel Hall.

Information about your follow-up phone calls

Your initial interviews and questionnaires will take place in-person at Nagel Hall, and we will call you one week after that initial interview for some follow up questions. You will each receive a total of $30.00 for this portion of the study ($20.00 in cash at the interview, $10.00 in the mail for the follow up call).

We will then call you every three months for one year. For each of those follow-up phone calls, we will mail each of you a check for $10.00.

At a year and a half, we will invite you to come back to Nagel Hall for another in-person interview. Then, we will again call you every three months until the very end of the study, three years from your initial interview.

For this last interview, we will again invite you to come back to Nagel Hall to do one last set of in-person interviews and survey questionnaires.

Information about payment

After your initial interview, all payments will be in the amount of $10.00, sent via check written by the University and sent to your home address. We will send one check made out to the parent or guardian participating in the study and one check made out to the child participating in the study.

We will mail these checks to the address we have on file for you, so be sure and contact us to let us know if that information changes!

Please give us about 2-3 weeks after the phone call to receive the check in the mail.
