I am an undergraduate student entering my senior year of study. I am double majoring in biology and psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience and minors in chemistry, history, and medical physics. I am especially interested in the psychological and physiological responses to addiction, as well as to neurodegeneration. In addition to working as a research assistant in the MoCC lab, I am also in the process of completing my honors thesis in the Department of Biological Sciences. After graduating from DU in June 2013, I plan to attend medical school and pursue a career in the field of surgery.
A St. Louis native, I am an avid Cardinals fan and enjoy catching as many games as possible. I also enjoy watching football and rugby, which I picked up while studying abroad in Auckland, New Zealand. My favorite places in Denver include Wash Park, Cherry Creek, and Pearl Street. I am also a member of DU Greek Life, Phi Beta Kappa Society, and a variety of other organizations on campus.
