I am beginning my
5th year in the child clinical psychology program at the University of Denver. My primary research interests are broadly focused upon negative experiences within social relationships and the consequences of these experiences upon future relationships and psychological functioning. Currently, I am focused upon identifying risk and protective factors for experiencing physical and sexual violence within adolescent dating relationships.
Education:
BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2003). MA in Child Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver (2007). Personal:
I enjoy hiking and skiing in the mountains with my wife, Christa. We grew up together in the same hometown of Stevens Point, Wisconsin and attended UW-Madison together. Since moving to Colorado, we have enjoyed climbing 14ers and have picked-up nature photography. Favorite Book:
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. Favorite Sports:
Badger hockey and Packer football. Since skiing in the West, I have also become a powder junky. Email: byoung7@du.edu
