Developmental: Research Groups
The entire developmental area, including faculty, graduate students,
and postdoctoral fellows, meet once a week for a brown-bag lunch at which
members within the area present their research, or outside speakers are
invited to discuss their work. In addition, most faculty members have
ongoing research groups that include graduate and post-graduate trainees.
The group typically meets weekly to discuss a particular faculty, postdoctoral
or graduate trainee research project, review pertinent literature, discuss
recent theoretical or methodological contributions, etc. Currently there
are research study groups in the areas of socio-emotional development,
cognitive development, future-oriented processes, child psychopathology,
developmental neuropsychology, social relationships, gender issues, and,
at the University of Colorado Medical School, developmental psychobiology
and developmental disorders.
