| About this Website. |
| |
|
This
website is intended to serve as a resource for professionals interested in
trauma research in the Denver area. In 2005, the
Traumatic Stress Studies
Group
partnered with the
Victim
Services Network
to receive a grant from the
Public Good
Fund
at the
University of Denver.
This grant supported a one-day conference (Returning
Research to the Community) and the initial development of this
website with the ultimate goal of building bridges between service providers
and researchers. |
| |
| The
one-day conference that was the catalyst for
this website brought together more than 120
researchers and representatives from
agencies working with children, family, and
adults exposed to trauma and violence.
As part of that conference, attendees
identified several types of web-based
research information that would be useful
including: information on local research
projects, cutting edge research findings,
collaborative links to other in the Denver
community, and educational opportunities. |
