Psychology BA Requirements University of Denver

  • The BA in Psychology requires all University BA degree requirements (see Bulletin)
  • At least 40 (if started DU before Fall 2010) or 44 (if started DU Fall 2010 or later) and no more than 60 PSYC credit hours (hours over 60 do not count toward any requirements)
    • Exception: SOCS 1710 is required but may not count as PSYC hours
    • Exception: Junior/Senior Honors do count for the 40 hr min but do not count for the 60 hr max
  • At least 25 PSYC upper division hours (2000 and above)
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0 overall AND in the major; C- or above for each PSYC course
  • MATC 1200 is recommended for students with appropriate background, but is not required
