Cognitive Neuroscience ConcentrationThe Cognitive Neuroscience program is a joint effort between the Biological Sciences and Psychology departments aimed at understanding the relation between mind and brain. There are three options for earning a degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. The first two constitute specialized major/minor coursework in Psychology and Biological Sciences and the third option is a specialized double major. Students in these programs may be considering postgraduate work in Psychology or Biology, or in professional schools, such as law, business, physical therapy or rehabilitation. There are BA and BS versions of each option. The BA degree provides maximum flexibility for a student who wishes to take a broad spectrum of courses from diverse disciplines. The BS options (especially with a Biological Sciences major) are well suited for students who plan to go to medical school or do graduate work of any kind that involves a substantial biological science background. Psychology Faculty in the Cognitive Neuroscience Specialty Degrees Program are Julia Dmitrieva, Anne DePrince, Janice Keenan, Iris Mauss, Daniel McIntosh, Bruce Pennington, George Potts, Jeremy Reynolds, Rob Roberts, Kelly Snyder, and Sarah Watamura.
