The Department of Risk Management’s mission is to protect the University of Denver from hazards or perils that may impact the life safety, reputation, financial, property, and operations of the institution. We do this through the use of appropriate methodology including:
- Risk Retention
- Risk Transfer
- Risk Controls
- Risk Avoidance
Risk Management manages the insurance portfolio as well as all claims associated with any of the policies or potential liability to the University. For additional details, please refer to the Risk Management Insurance Policies and Procedures Manual.
