Some University records are vital to operations or have historical significance. These records are permanently preserved by the division or in the University Archives. The Records Retention Schedule prescribes the types of records that must be retained permanently and/or archived. There are currently 25 different types of University records that carry a permanent retention period.
The University Archives is particularly interested in the following types of University records:
- Department meeting minutes
- Department annual reports
If you are not sure whether records maintained in your area should be transferred to the University Archives, contact Steve Fisher, University Historian, or Kate Crowe, Curator of Special Collections and Archives, for assistance.
