Adults can learn and develop their hockey skills for recreational or competitive play with the adult learn to play hockey program.
Public Skate ScheduleAdult learn to play hockey lessons are designed for those who may have realized their calling a little bit later in life.
Learn to play hockey offers two progressive class levels and focuses on the fundamental skills of hockey—power skating, stick handling, passing and shooting.
The program is designed to help participants develop the skills required for recreational or competitive play. Full hockey gear is recommended, however, a helmet, gloves, shin guards, elbow pads and a stick are required.
Participants will receive eight free public skate admissions as part of their learn to play hockey registration. Two public skate admissions can be used to attend one stick and puck session. Free admissions expire on the last day of a learn to play hockey series.

Learn to play hockey 101 sessions are held on Mondays, and learn to play hockey 201 sessions are held on Wednesdays.
Series 1: August 19 - October 9
Series 2: October 14 - December 18
$130/eight-week series*
Learn to Play Hockey 101 will not meet on Labor Day. The cost for Hockey 101 for Series 1 only will be $114/seven-week series.
Participants should have basic skating skills before signing up for a learn to play hockey series.
