Practice Groups
TOPPERS
- This swim group offers a developmental environment for swimmers 9 and younger.
- We provide fundamental skills and techniques of the four competitive strokes, starts and turns.
Skill requirements
- Complete 25 yards free and back, and swim all four strokes legally.
- Pay attention to instruction in a group setting.

Schedule and attendance requirements
4:45 – 5:45 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, or on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Swimmers should attend both sessions each week.
PIONEERS
- This group is open to swimmers 9 – 12 looking to develop skills.
- We teach the fundamental skills and techniques of the four competitive strokes, starts and turns.
Skill requirements
- Complete 100 yards of free and back strokes, 50 yards of fly and breast strokes legally.
- Pay attention to instruction in a group setting.
Schedule and attendance requirements
- 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays
Swimmers should attend a minimum of two out of the three sessions each week.
BRONZE
- This group introduces swimmers 10 and younger to competitive swimming.
- It teaches the fundamentals of the four competitive strokes, starts and turns.
Schedule and attendance requirements
4:45 – 5:45 p.m., Mondays - Thursdays
We encourage swimmers to attend three practice sessions per week.
SILVER
- This group introduces the basic concepts of conditioning.
- It provides constant reinforcement of fundamental technical concepts.
- Swimmers progress according to individual ability.
- Ages range from 8-12, depending upon skill level.

- 4:45 – 6 p.m. Mondays – Thursdays
- 5:30 – 7 p.m. Fridays
- 1 - 2:30 p.m. Saturdays
Swimmers are required to attend three practices sessions per week.
GOLD
- This group prepares swimmers for all facets of competitive swimming.
- It increases aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, depending on group abilities.
- The group provides continued refinement of stroke technique.
- We introduce the basic concepts of race strategy.
- Ages range from 10-12, depending upon skill level, level of conditioning and an athlete's motivation.

- 5:30 – 7 p.m. Mondays – Fridays
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturdays

MOUNTAINEERS
- This group includes a blend of conditioning and stoke instruction designed to successfully prepare swimmers for a senior swimming event line-up.
- Ages range from 13 and older, depending on skill level, level of conditioning and an athlete's motivation.

- 5:30 - 7 p.m. Mondays - Fridays
- 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturdays

CRIMSON
- This group prepares athletes for senior swimming.
- It provides mature technical instruction and conditioning to prepare swimmers for state and regional competition.
- Crimson training moves those who demonstrate mental discipline, work ethic, and good attendance and practice habits into the Elite group.

- 6 – 8 p.m. Mondays – Thursdays
- 4:45 – 7 p.m. Fridays
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturdays
Swimmers must attend four practice sessions per week. Practice requirements increase with the level of competition.
ELITE
- Elite swimming prepares swimmers for regional- and national-level competition.
- It readies athletes for collegiate swimming.
- The group provides short- and long-term goal setting and introduces strength training.
- We challenge swimmers with technique improvements and conditioning levels.
- Ages range from 13 years through post-grad, depending upon skill level, level of conditioning and an athlete's motivation.
Schedule and attendance requirements
- 5:45 – 8 p.m. Mondays – Thursdays
- 5:15 – 7 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
- 4:45 – 7 p.m. Fridays
- 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Saturdays
We expect athletes to prepare themselves for Elite-level competition. Practice requirements increase with the level of competition.
