Where do I park and how do I get a parking permit?

Parking is available in university parking lots L, 401, and 403. You must request a parking permit online at www.parking.du.edu prior to your first day of learn to play basketball. Please allow 7-10 days for your permit to arrive. If you will need a temporary permit for the first night of a series, please call 303-871-3908.


What should I bring to learn to play basketball sessions?

You must bring attire that is comfortable for running and non-marking athletic shoes. No flip-flops, sandals, Crocs, stocking feet or bare feet will be permitted.


Where should I meet for my session?

Please check in at the Coors Fitness Center front desk (located on the south side of the Ritchie Center) and proceed to Gates Field House.


As a learn to play basketball participant, do I have access to a locker room?

Yes. Both the men's and women's locker rooms are accessible. If you bring a quarter, you may lock up your gear. When you put the quarter in, you get the key, and when you put the key back in, you get your quarter back.

You will also have access to showers.


When can my child begin participating in learn to play basketball?

Children may enroll in learn to play basketball beginning at age four.


How do I know when my child is ready for the next level?

At the end of each series, your child will receive a progress report that indicates the level for which the instructor feels he/she is ready.


How many lessons do I receive per series?

Your child will receive 4 lessons per series.


Are the classes divided by age?

Our classes are arranged by ability, not age.


How many times per week does my child have learn to play basketball?

All classes meet one time per week for one hour. Our advanced level meets for 90 minutes per week.
