The Learn to Skate program provides year-round skating instruction for participants ages 3 years to adult.
The Learn to Skate program follows the Basic Skills program sponsored by U.S. Figure Skating.
Learn to Skate also includes classes for Special Olympians.
Series 6: July 13 - August 5
(Four-week series; participants attend on both Mondays and Wednesdays for Series 6 only)
Series 1: August 15 - October 12 (no class on September 5 or 7)
Series 2: October 17 - December 16 (no class on November 23, 25 or 28)
Our eight-week series include classes on Mondays, Wednesdays or Saturdays.
The Learn to Skate registration fee includes:
Learn to Skate participants may skate during our 30-minute practice sessions on their class day at no additional cost. Parents may skate with their child at no additional cost (including skate rental) during these times.
*DU affiliates and Coors Fitness Center members receive a 10 percent discount on Learn to Skate. Please call 303-871-3820 to verify your eligibility for this discount and request the online coupon code.

1:6 - 1:12, depending on level
Online registration will begin on Monday, June 22, and ends on Thursday, July 9.
To register for Learn to Skate classes, call 303-871-3820, stop by the Joy Burns Arena front desk or register online. Full payment is due at the time of registration.
Please note: Registration will not be accepted on the first day of a series.
