Meeting Terrorism's Challenges

Season Two

Last Fall we began a series of presentations to help the community learn

about a wide range of issues that fall under the general topic of terrorism.

These are part of the outreach program of our Rocky Mountain Center for

Homeland Defense & Preparedness, a component of the

Research Institute of the University of Denver.

It is important for you to know that many of the topics that are discussed,

while related to terrorism, impact a variety of issues that we confront in modern living.

An excellent example of this occurred on April 25th when we offered

a presentation featuring nationally recognized experts

on a topic of concern to every citizen of America.

"Identity Theft, CyberCrime and Terrorism"

Participants included the Attorney General of the State of Colorado,

a CyberCrime expert from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI),

a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Denver,

a security expert from Lockheed-Martin,

and the Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science

at the University of Denver.
