Responsibilities and Expertise
Nate serves as a key member of leadership team in the Office of the Dean in the Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science (RSECS). Nate’s main responsibilities are to marketing and recruit top students from Colorado, the United States and abroad, increasing applications and enrollment for the Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science.
He manages both international and domestic marketing and recruitment initiatives for graduate and undergraduate enrollment and retention efforts for RSECS students at the undergraduate and graduate level. Serving as the point person for the Office of the Dean, he is responsible for a myriad of roles on behalf of the Dean and academic units.
Nate collaborates with current students, faculty, alumni, government entities, international organizations, industry partners and university advancement to enhance the global visibility of the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science.
Before joining the University of Denver in January 2012, Nate spent five years at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Three years in the Office of Admissions moving up to a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions & Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Community Engagement with former Vice Chancellor Dr. Sallye McKee. In addition, Nate worked closely under the direction of former CU Boulder Chancellor Dr. G.P. "Bud" Peterson on diversity recruitment programs and campus climate initiatives. Then Nate spent two years setting university enrollment records for enrolling women and minorities in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU Boulder. Nate has lived in Eastern Europe, West Africa and the Middle East. Nate has language experience in Arabic, French and Hebrew. Nate received his BA in Sociology from CU Boulder and his Arabic Language from the University of Jordan, Amman.
