Applied Research & Technology

History

Since 1947, The University of Denver Applied Research & Technology Institute has been a department of the University of Denver, a non-profit educational institution. As a long-established scientific and technical research center, we have become nationally and internationally recognized for our significant contributions to the solutions of important national, global and societal problems. The institute conducts cost-reimbursable research for private, environmental and industrial clients, and government agencies at all levels, including local, state and federal government and the military.

Our reputation for unparalleled quality and service has earned us many repeat sponsors in both the public and private sectors. We offer the depth of knowledge, expertise and cost effectiveness of a university department, combined with the timeliness, flexibility and efficiency of a cutting-edge business. Our unique blend of competitive strength and responsiveness to client needs is achieved through a careful combination of younger researchers and experienced, seasoned staff. In addition to the physical and computer scientists, engineers and mathematicians on our staff, we have access to visiting scientists, consultants and advisors. We utilize the talents of the faculty at the University of Denver, as well as the combined skills of teams established with corporations, other universities and consortia.
