Honors
Program Requirements
After you're accepted into the Honors Program, you'll need to maintain the required GPA and meet the following requirements:
Lower Division: 12 credit hours
- 4 credit hours of WRIT 1522 (Honors Writing)
- 8 credit hours of AHUM/SOCS 1000 courses (Honors sections)
- To defer these courses beyond the first year, you may petition the Honors Program for an extension
Upper Division: 4 credit hours
- 4 credit hours of HNRS 2400 seminars
- To defer this requirement, you may petition the director of the Honors Program for alternatives or for an exemption
Honors Thesis:
- ENGR 3314, 3324 and 3334 (Honors Thesis I, II & III) replace ENGR 3313, 3323 and 3333 (Senior Design Project I, II & III)
- You must also submit a copy of the final Senior Design Project I, II & III report to the engineering department
- A higher standard of achievement is typically expected
