  • GSSW will award more than $4 million in student financial aid for 2009-10.
  • More than 90% of GSSW students receive scholarships, grants or stipends.

Need-based scholarships are available, and outstanding MSW applicants may be eligible for merit-based scholarships ranging from $10,000 to full tuition. Both need- and merit-based scholarships will continue at the same level for both years for two-year MSW students who remain in good academic standing. Students with advanced standing begin receiving their financial aid award during the summer they begin courses.

Filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1 is the key to maximizing your financial aid! Filing the FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov is the first step in the financial aid process and is required for consideration of need-based financial aid. The FAFSA becomes available online on January 1 of each year. The institutional code for the University of Denver is 001371.

MSW students with advanced standing must complete two FAFSAs, one for the current year and one for the next year, since they begin their studies in summer quarter.

The application process for financial aid is simple. Please see University of Denver Office of Financial Aid for detailed information and step-by-step instructions.
