More than 90% of GSSW students receive scholarships, grants or stipends. All scholarships are based on merit and/or need. Outstanding MSW applicants may be eligible for merit-based scholarships ranging from $10,000 to full tuition. Both need- and merit-based scholarships will continue at the same level for both years for two-year MSW students who remain in good academic standing. Students with advanced standing begin receiving their financial aid award during the summer they begin courses.
To maximize your scholarship eligibility:
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1. Filing the FAFSA online is the first step in the financial aid process and is required for consideration of need-based financial aid. The FAFSA become available online on January 1 of each year. To be considered for the "Named and Endowed Scholarships" listed here, your completed application must be received in our office by February 1.
