Theme: "Direct Social Work Practice with HIV/AIDS Clients - Current Approaches"
Call For Presentation Proposals:
GSSW is co-sponsoring the Twenty-Second Annual National Conference on Social Work and HIV/AIDS in May, 2010.
You are invited to submit a presentation proposal on any topic relevant to HIV/AIDS social work practice, research and education. Of special interest are proposals that relate to the 2010 theme of "Direct Social Work Practice Approaches with HIV/AIDS Clients: Current Approaches". This includes areas such as case management services, psychotherapy/counseling, evidence-based interventions (such as DEBI), group work, family work, adherence programs, housing services, prevention/education interventions, etc. Some other topics of interest include creative strategies for funding services, serving communities of color, evidence-based research projects, training/supervision/education issues, Ryan White Program issues, self care, advocacy/lobbying, grant writing and capacity building. Proposals will be accepted for consideration in four categories. Those categories and other important information can be found in the program flyer.
