  • January 27, 2017: Lecture by American philosopher Martha Nussbaum, PhD; co-hosted by GSSW's Institute for Human-Animal Connection and the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Nussbaum is the current Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago, a chair that includes appointments in the philosophy department and the law school.   • April 28-29, 2017: "Building Connections: Children, Animals and Healthy Families," a national conference hosted by the Sam and Myra Ross Institute in partnership with GSSW's Institute for Human-Animal Connection; Green Chimneys in Brewster, NY. Learn more and register.
