Prof. Eugene Walls earned his doctoral degree in sociology and is a community practice specialist. His professional social work experience includes positions with the United Cerebral Palsy Association, Kidspeace National Centers for Kids in Crisis and The Center for the Homeless in South Bend, Indiana. Recent journal publications by Prof. Walls include a study of suicidal ideation and attempts by sexual minority youth receiving social services, and a comparison of social service needs among homeless and non-homeless sexual minority youth.
At GSSW, Prof. Walls teaches courses in multicultural social work practice and in research methods and design.
