Professor Cathryn Potter is the former executive director of the Erna and Brad Butler Institute for Families, which engages in collaborative research and technical assistance with numerous states, agencies and Native American tribes to support best practices in child welfare, juvenile justice and children's mental health.
The Butler Institute also manages Colorado's child welfare stipend program for MSW students pursuing a career in child welfare.Potter is currently involved in numerous child welfare and juvenile justice projects.
