Clinical Assistant Professor Kim Yuskis is part of GSSW's field education team.

Her responsibilities include coordinating field sites, meeting individually with students, acting as a field liaison and serving on various committees.

Yuskis also is the coordinator of PROGRESS (Providing Real Opportunities for Gero-rich Experiences in Social Work Services).

This unique gerontology program provides a hub and rotation field internship model through which MSW students experience, and learn in, a variety of settings.

Yuskis has worked primarily with municipal government aging services divisions in the North Denver metro area, where she provided counseling, support group and mediation services to older adults and their family members.

She has trained and supervised senior peer counselors and caregiver advocates, developed and coordinated educational programs, and provided services to clients and caregivers in a hospital-affiliated infectious disease clinic and a mental health center.

At GSSW, Yuskis has been a field instructor and liaison, and she has taught field seminars. She currently maintains a private practice counseling older adults and their families.
