New Book Highlights Bridge Project Research

GSSW's Bridge Project has been serving children, youth and families in Denver's public housing neighborhoods for more than 20 years. A reception held at the school on December 14 honored the co-authors of a new book that presents findings from several years of research with Bridge participants and their families.

Entitled Risk, resilience, and positive youth development: Developing effective community programs for high-risk youth: Lessons from the Denver Bridge Project, the book's lead author is Professor Jeff Jenson, Philip D. and Eleanor G. Winn Professor for Children and Youth at Risk and GSSW's Associate Dean for Research. Other co-authors include Dean Emerita Catherine Alter, Associate Professor Nicole Nicotera, and GSSW PhD graduates Elizabeth Anthony and Shandra Forrest-Bank.
