Clinical Professor Philip Tedeschi and Assistant Professor Ramona Beltrán are among the faculty presenters at the University of Denver's seventh annual Alumni Symposium, to be held October 25-26 on the DU campus. The event is open to DU students, faculty and staff, in addition to alumni.
Tedeschi's talk, "Our Kinship with Animals and what it Teaches us about Being Human," focused on the many benefits of human-animal interaction. This is the third year in which Tedeschi has been featured at the symposium.
Beltrán's presentation was entitled "My Truth Will Stand": Using Digital Storytelling to Support Healing in Indigenous Communities." The interactive workshop explored the role of storytelling in everyday life and included a discussion on the ways that new creative technologies may serve as tools to support healing processes in Indigenous communities.
