The University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work continues to be among the best in the nation, according to new rankings just released by U.S. News and World Report. The oldest school of social work in the Rocky Mountain region, GSSW is ranked number 36 among the nation's best Master of Social Work (MSW) programs, a two-point increase over its previous ranking.
The school has risen a total of 14 points during the magazine's last two ranking periods.
GSSW's new ranking places it within the top 17% of the 208 MSW programs that are accredited by, or in accreditation candidacy with, the Council on Social Work Education. GSSW is the top-ranked school in the Rocky Mountain west.
"We appreciate this continued national recognition of the quality of our faculty, students and educational resources," says GSSW Dean James Herbert Williams. "We are a school on the move -- #1 in our region and continuing to build upon our national reputation for excellence and innovation."
