Ever wonder what makes relationships between people and animals so complex and powerful? Find out by enrolling in "The Human-Animal Bond: Understanding the Intricate Relationship Between People and Animals," to be taught this fall at the University of Denver by Professor Philip Tedeschi, MSW, LCSW. This four-session, non-credit course will be offered in September and October by University College as part of its Fall Quarter enrichment program.
Tedeschi, who has taught human-animal courses at the Graduate School of Social Work (GSSW) for ten years, is Clinical Director of GSSW's Institute for Human-Animal Connection. His enrichment class, which includes visits by animal-assisted therapists and their certified therapy dogs, also examines animal behavior, ethical issues and the frequent link between animal abuse and violence.
Register online for Tedeschi's class, or call 303-871-2291. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
