Among the most innovative aspects of our MSW curriculum are our four certificate programs. Open to concentration year and advanced standing students, these programs enhance your future employment opportunities by providing in-depth knowledge in a social work specialty of your choice:
- Animal-Assisted Social Work
- Couples and Family Therapy (offered in cooperation with the Denver Family Institute)
- Social Work with Latinos/as
- Interpersonal Trauma Studies
Each certificate includes specialized elective courses and field internship experience. With one exception, the certificates are open to both clinical and community practice MSW students in any track. Due to the nature of the Interpersonal Trauma Studies Certificate, however, students enrolled in that certificate must choose one of the four clinical practice tracks; the community practice track is not open to students in the trauma certificate.
