"Maximizing job opportunities was definitely a factor in choosing the PROGRESS program," says Kennan Moore (MSW '07), who was 42 when she started work toward her MSW. It was a wise choice, apparently, since her field internship at Kaiser Permanente's Department of Palliative Care resulted in a job offer even before her graduation.
"PROGRESS put me in the right place at the right time to be hired," says Moore, who is part of a multidisciplinary team providing quality palliative care to adults dealing with chronic and terminal illness. She is also working to improve access to palliative and hospice care for Kaiser members living in nursing homes.
