Photography, Geology and Archeology in Scotland

Description: The primary focus of this course is photography. However, introductions to Scottish history, geology and archeology will be incorporated in order to impact how participants see and appreciate the landscape of Scotland. The course presents the perfect combination of subjects, which are certain to enrich class member's knowledge and appreciation regarding Scotland's landscape, history and culture. The class will meet in Scotland's most populated city, Glasgow, where we will spend two-nights. Next, we travel by train to the West Coast town of Oban (our base for three nights). The class will conclude by spending three nights in Scotland's capital, Edinburgh. This rich, engaging class is open to photographers at all levels of proficiency, from beginners to advanced. The class will have special appeal to those with experience or interest in the disciplines of history, geology and/or archeology, but should not exclude those who do not. Join this exciting travel class with: an open mind, and a desire to have fun while enriching your life through experiential learning.

Approximate Travel Costs*:

Airfare $1,500 - 1,800 (Students are responsible for making their own flight arrangements.)
Program Fee:  $1,350 (Program fees are applied to tuition bill. Fee covers lodging, two group meals, museum entrance fees and train tickets. Program fees are non-refundable.)
Food: $50 per day
Cancellation Fee: $1,350 (Billed to student account in the event the student drops the course.)
