About - The Staff Advisory Council
The Staff Advisory Council was established to promote unity and cooperation among the staff of the University, providing a means for an exchange and discussion of information among the staff on problems, procedures and policies of the University.
The individuals who are appointed, elected or volunteer with the council play an important role in linking communications with staff, university administrators and other organized groups of the university.
The Council is divided into three subcommittees focusing on various issues of concern to employees.
Employee Recognition
The primary goal of the Employee Recognition Committee is to build trust, teamwork and pride in our jobs and in the University community through the development of recognition programs like Staff Appreciation Day.

Staff Issues
The primary goal of the Issues Committee is to act as a representative voice to communicate with and present proposals to the University Administration regarding policies and procedures affecting the well-being and productivity of the staff.

Community and Events
The primary goal of this committee is to focus on ways in which we can promote a sense of community among staff members. We produce staff events, conduct fund-raising activities and distribute these funds, and we coordinate community outreach efforts on behalf of the DU staff.
