"Pioneers for People" Coat Drive

The DU Staff Advisory Council and various student organizations, sponsored a coat and winter clothing drive. The "Pioneers for People" Coat Drive was a huge success! The University of Denver and the citizens of Denver, have much to be proud of for the efforts to help those in need. Thanks to DU Facilities for transporting the items to the Denver Rescue Mission.

There were over 110 bags of coats. Estimated at 12 coats per bag, that is 1320 coats as well as gloves, hats, scarves and other cold weather items. To transport the items to the Rescue Mission required 2 pickup trucks and a flat bed truck. See the pictures above.
