Community Service Positions
In the Office of Student Employment, we believe community connections enrich lives and have the potential to improve our world. Students with work-study have the option of partnering with nonprofits and government agencies that strive to enhance the quality of life for residents--especially low-income individuals--within a 30-mile radius of the University of Denver.
We seek partners who enable students to engage in meaningful service that is designed to meet community needs. All partners must agree to cover 30% of student wages. Students can search for Community Service positions through our online job board. Simply log into webCentral with your DU ID, go to the Student tab, and click on "Find a Job."
The University of Denver has been admitted to the 2010 President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll! At least 4,000 DU students engaged in community service in the 2009-2010 academic year, contributing to more than 540,000 hours to help build better communities. A special thanks to our community service students and partners, who are helping us achieve the goal of being a private university dedicated to the public good.
